Bosco the Labradoodle

Bosco is a good-natured excitable labradoodle. He is nearly 3 years old and is my first dog. We asked for Sally’s help because we were concerned that Bosco had poor recall and a tendency to run off towards anyone with a ball or a child, the fact that he pulled a lot when walking on the lead and his tendency to be very excitable especially around any visitors to our house.

The first time Sally arrived at our house we were immediately impressed with how she managed Bosco (and us!) During our training sessions Sally was careful to explain why she took a particular approach to help us change certain behaviours that Bosco displayed. She always considered our views and thought through problems that we encountered with Bosco when putting our training into practice. She also encouraged us to start to think about how we could manage new problems that could arise when we were alone with Bosco. 

I now feel a lot more in control of Bosco and it is now much more pleasurable to walk him on the lead. He follows commands much more consistently. I have started to walk him off the lead, and his recall is significantly better already.

I still have work to do with Bosco but there has been a significant improvement and I can’t recommend Sally highly enough.
