Marley the Miniature Schnauzer

Marley the Miniature Schnauzer

I called Sally because our Miniature Schnauzer Marley (18 months old) was becoming more and more “bossy”. He was taking us for walks and pulling so hard on the lead, in wet weather we were at risk of being pulled over. We tried a Halti headcoller, which helped, but as soon as we reverted to a normal collar he was pulling again. The afternoon Sally spent with us was invaluable. She taught us so much and gave us a fresh approach to training. We’ve changed Marley’s diet, binned the treats & toys and re-established ourselves as “pack leaders”. He’s a much calmer dog now. There’s no quick fix, but by following Sally’s advice, after two weeks of consistent practice, Marley is now loose lead walking. He forgets himself a bit when we come upon distractions (such as other friendly dogs) but we continue to put things in practice and he really is getting it. I think in a few more weeks time, we will have completely turned things around. All thanks to the time we spent with Sally.
